Common Mistakes in Boudoir Photography, Introducing AI Pixelarium, Musings on AI
We're gearing up to launch 101 ChatGPT Prompts for Photographers on Wednesday (tomorrow!).
MUSINGS ON AI
We're gearing up to launch 101 ChatGPT Prompts for Photographers tomorrow. So much time and effort has been invested in this guide, and I truly believe it will be an asset to your photography career and practice.
I know from our ongoing survey that many of you reading this newsletter are not interested in AI. And you’re not alone. Salesforce released an interesting report recently that found 68% of non-users of generative AI are Gen X or Baby Boomers.
I'm GenX, and I get it. Life is busy and stressful enough already; who has the time for all this? The only reason I'm not part of this statistic is because AI is 100% going to impact the photography industry (not to mention the WORLD!) substantially.
How? Well, on a micro level, more and more, I'm seeing photographers use ChatGPT on social media. Photographers who usually just post a cool photo and a hashtag on Instagram now include full tutorials on how to get a similar shot. Coincidence? I think not.
And guess what? The engagement with these AI-generated posts (comment-wise) is very strong, which means you'll see a lot more of this in the future, and you'll consume it.
And on a macro level, I honestly don't have the answer. Some jobs will become obsolete; some jobs will be created. At the very least, most working photographers will use AI in some form (even if it's just editing). I believe Adobe is the leader in the AI + creativity field, and I'm paying close attention to what they do and say.
As for the guide, 101 ChatGPT Prompts for Photographers is written to be accessible for those who know nothing about ChatGPT, but also valuable so that photographers already using ChatGPT regularly will come away with ideas and inspiration.
Regardless of whether you buy the guide or not, I suggest you stay informed and stay curious. Even if you don't like it, you should probably understand it.

ON FEATURE SHOOT
Common Mistakes in Boudoir Photography
“I think there are a lot of people who see boudoir photography as a way to make lots of money with photography, but if someone is getting into boudoir for the money, they’re doing it for the wrong reason,” Emma Christine admits. “Boudoir photography is unlike any other genre. It’s not something you can casually pick up if your bookings are slow.
“Many of my clients view their session as a day of healing for themselves, a day to renew their self-image. I recognize I have an immense responsibility every day that I’m in the studio, and it’s never lost on me that this could really impact the way that they view themselves.”
